Supporting Doctors Without Borders

There have been many fashion houses throwing their support behind initiatives tackling coronavirus and offering support to those who have been severely affected.

Now Dubai-based brand L’Afshar, which is Kylie Jenner approved, is joining the fight. Having recently launched the ‘Sierra’ bag, designer Lilian Afshar has announced she will be donating all of the proceeds from the sales of the handbag to Doctors Without Borders, an organisation which provides medical care to people around the globe who are affected by epidemics, conflicts and disasters.

Heartwarmingly the decision to donate to the charity was a community-driven effort, as the organisation was collectively chosen by the handbag designer’s customers, which is what Lillian wanted.

“It’s always time to give back, and now more than ever,” Lillian says. “I wanted to create an initiative that our customers [as a collective] can come together and make a change — I reached out to everyone on an Instagram asking them to recommend all the great organisations we can work with and it came down to Doctors without Borders.”
