We told you earlier this month that Lindsay Lohan had popped into Dubai between some media engagements spread across the world.

However, it turns out her stay in the city might be a little more permanent.

The Mean Girls star has reportedly moved to the UAE, according to a local TV presenter who bumped into her in Dubai this week.

“Was amazing to get to actually sit and talk to the beautiful @lindsaylohan who’s currently based IN DUBAI!!!” wrote Dubai One’s Dina Butti on Instagram, along with a picture of her with the actress.

“She’s got a number of projects lined up, including some pretty awesome charitable initiatives… Welcome to Dubai Lindsay.”

Lohan first jetted into the emirate in late November, where she spent some time with her “best friend” – and lifestyle blogger – Karen Wazen Bakhazi, as well as make-up artist and entrepreneur Joelle Mardinian.

After some time in Kuwait, it looks like she’s back on a semi-permanent basis, with the actress sharing shots from the Middle East on her Instagram account.

On Tuesday she posted a snap from the same party as Butti, and shared a selfie praising the UAE’s privacy laws earlier in the week.

“I heard it’s not legal to take photos in Dubai without consent… privacy like #monaco and more important world issues than a random photo of me,” Lohan captioned the shot.

The 30-year-old has long had an affinity with the Middle East, revealing earlier this year that she’s studying Arabic as well as spending plenty of time volunteering in Syrian refugee camps.

The actress spoke out about her new faith this year after she was photographed in 2015 carrying a copy of the Quran.

“My very close friends, who have been there for me a lot, in London are Saudi and they gave me the Quran and I brought it to New York because I was learning,” she revealed on Turkish TV show Haber Turk.

“It opened doors for me to experience spiritually, to find another true meaning. This is who I am.”

The actress also revealed the pictures had sparked widespread backlash in her home country, where she was “crucified” for her interest in Islam.

“They made me seem like… I was a bad person for holding that Quran.

“I was so happy to leave [America] and go back to London after that, because I felt so unsafe in my own country. If this [Islam] is something that I want to learn, this is my own will.

“I can’t imagine how many people go through this all the time, and that made me feel like an outsider.”

At least in the cultural melting pot of Dubai, where over 200 nationalities reside and even a tolerance chapter exists, the A-lister won’t feel like an outsider.

However it’s not known how long she’ll stay in the city, as Lohan recently told Page Six that she might be volunteering over Christmas.

“I am deciding now if I will head back to do more work in refugee camps in Turkey and Antep during or after the New Year,” she said.
