The Middle East will soon become the centre stage for French fashion house Dior’s next menswear show.

Scheduled to take place in Egypt, Cairo on December 3, 2022, the spectacular fashion show will take place e the majestic Pyramids of Giza as its backdrop.

Designed by the Maison’s artistic director Kim Jones, the Pre-Fall 2023 collection is a “celestial collection [that] celebrates a lifelong passion for travel”, according to WWD.

While it will be the first time the luxury fashion house will showcase its pieces in Egypt, Dior has forged a close relationship with the Middle East which dates back to the early 2000s when former creative director John Galliano paid tribute to Egypt in its 2004 haute couture collection. More recently, back in March 2019, the fashion house showcased its SS19 couture collection in Dubai, marking its first-ever couture show in the Middle East.

Other luxury fashion houses have also built up a strong relationship with the region, showcasing exclusive collections and fashion shows in the Middle East.

Last December, Dubai hosted designer Giorgio Armani’s One Night Only show to mark the 10th anniversary of the Armani Hotel in Dubai. In the same month Chanel also showcased its Cruise Collection for 2021/22 in Dubai.
