Content Creator Atra Daniel takes Emirates Woman through her AM to PM  beauty routine.

Talk us through your morning routine.

I start my morning by washing my face and brushing my teeth, then I quickly change into some comfy sports clothes, take my electrical bike to my first stop ‘Feels’ which is my favourite spot for clean food, breakfast or lunch. I don’t like eating at home since I live alone, so I prefer grabbing breakfast or lunch outside. After I’ve had my protein smoothie or açai bowl, I continue my bike trip to the gym. It takes me around 30 minutes to get to the gym by bike so by the time I arrive, I’ve already done my warmup.

What about your evening routine?

After I’ve taken a hot shower, I put on a hydrating mask or cream or oil, I’ve always been a big fan of La Mer products and the renewal oil from La Mer is what I use before going to sleep. I sometimes take some supplements like curcumin, flax seed oil, maca capsules, I really believe that beauty comes from within for sure. By the time I’ve taken my shower I put on my pyjama and crawl into bed.

What are you favourite skin care products?

La Mer oil, La Mer lotion toner and La Mer eye cream. I have normal to dry skin and the La Mer products have really helped with my skin.

Which mask is your favourite and why?

I’m not a fan of masks but if I had to choose one then I would pick the ‘Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask’. It’s affordable and very hydrating. Your makeup will look flawless if you use this mask the night before.

How would you describe your day-to-day makeup?

My day-to-day makeup has always been very minimal, or at least I make it look minimal and natural. I love to add some concealer or foundation on any redness or dark spots to just correct a little bit. Recently I got myself the creamy bronzer from Chanel and I’m amazed by it. It literally blends into the skin perfectly and gives you a sunkissed glow. Sometimes I add blush and a bit of mascara on the edge of my eyelashes.

What beauty product can always be found in your makeup bag?

A brownish lip pencil is 100 per cent the one product that can be found in my bag no matter, ever since I was 15. Also, a concealer and a blush.

Which fragrances are your go-tos?

Obsessed with Byredo, the fragrances are too good to be true. Especially Bal D’Afrique, I always get compliments whenever I wear it. It suits me.

How do you choose your evening fragrance?

It really depends on where I am and the company I am with, but I love Narciso Rodriguez – For Her.

Talk us through your haircare routine?

My hair care routine is one of the most important routines at the moment. I’ve damaged my hair with all the styling and bleaching, so I take hair care very seriously now. I do different kinds of organic hair treatments, like avocado, coconut and flax seed oil. My hair scalp is dry, so I feel like my hair needs its natural oils, hence why I try to limit the number of times I wash it per week so that the natural oils go down to the rest of the hair, and once a month I do a proper scalp scrub.

What is your ultimate beauty indulgence?

I’ve had some skin issues before and have learned what works best for me like drinking plenty of water, working out, eating clean are some other basic things. I try to keep my
skin looking healthy and fresh. As I mentioned before, I love to experiment with face treatments such as PRP, hydra facial, micro needling are other treatments that I find helpful in keeping my skin looking youthful.

This is The Skin Issue – what does it mean to be comfortable in your own skin?

Accepting who you are, whether it’s the things you like or dislike about yourself.
