If there is ever one woman that gives every other woman body envy it has to be the bootylicious, super-sassy Beyonce, whose healthy physique gives us realistic fitness goals.
As such it was no surprise that the award-wining singer decided to launch her own sportswear line, Ivy Park – heck, if Beyonce has a diet and workout regimen then we not only want to know about it but we want to follow it while looking like her as much as we can.
Jumping on the activewear craze, Beyonce has co-founded the label Ivy Park (named after her daughter Blue Ivy) with Top Shop mogul Sir Philip Green. The collection will launch in the Middle East on April 14, exclusively on namshi.com.
Gearing up for the launch, namshi.com’s marketing director, Ian Smith said: “We are proud to announce the launch of Ivy Park on Namshi. Fitness and wellbeing are huge pillars in both the Middle East and in our brand. Activewear has always been a key focus for us and we feel that bringing Ivy Park on board is a perfect fit for both brands and continues to cement our position as the No.1 online destination for sportswear and fashion whilst supporting the virtues of leading a healthy lifestyle.”
The Ivy Park line has been created to cater to any sporting ability or body shape with the aim to empower women while making them feel fresh and fabulous. Beyonce said: “When I’m working and rehearsing I live in my workout clothes. But I didn’t feel there was an athletic brand that spoke to me. My goal with Ivy Park is to push the boundaries of athletic wear, and to support and inspire women who understand that beauty is more than physical appearance.”
From leggings in three rises to crop tops and sweatshirts, the line has a variety of options which can be mixed to create your own personal sportswear uniform.
Of course, in typical feminist style, Ivy Park isn’t just a sportswear line, Beyonce has cleverly marketed it to prove that every woman can do sport, and also go on to achieve great things. In the promotional video for the collection, the star talks about her regimen and what motivates her. “Where is your park?” she asks at the end, of course she means where do you find your sanctuary and emotional space.
If this means our workouts are about to get sassy and fierce then we are in.
The Ivy Park collection will be exclusively available online on namshi.com starting from April 14.
