Giving it a stylish spin
One thing we have to admit, is how comfortable a pair of leggings can be. But as much as we would love to wear them all they long, it is an item that tends to fall in and out of fashion. From layering them underneath skirts to wearing them as pants, the stretchy material has had a long history in the fashion industry. However, it seems like these days, they are considered more as a part of athleisure.
Nevertheless, it seems like leggings, which aren’t really considered as high-fashion, will be making a comeback, thanks to the likes of Beyoncé and Victoria Beckham. Last Friday, Queen B and her rapper husband, Jay-Z, attended an NBA playoffs game in Houston, Texas, and we have to say, all eyes were on the pop-diva. In true Beyoncé fashion, the singer took her fashion game a step further by strutting to the match in a statement bodysuit.

The form-fitting ensemble comes courtesy of Paris-based label Marine Serre, and was covered in the brand’s signature half-moon logo. The head-turning piece included a matching top, leggings, boots and gloves – no one but Beyoncé can pull this look off. She completed the outfit with a Dream Ball Rubber Clutch Bag from the same designer. The brand’s print is proving to be popular with celebrities, as Kendall Jenner wore Marine Serre gloves to Coachella last month.

Another star making the case for the return of leggings is fashion designer and former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham. During the weekend, the mother-of-four was spotted out-and-about in high-waisted navy leggings, which she tucked into her black peep-toe booties. She completed the look with a nude top, a black trench coat and her signature leather bag. If leggings are good enough for Victoria Beckham, then they are definitely good enough for us.
