Find some new favourite series’ during self-isolation

Make a date with your sofa and tuck into an array of gripping TV series that will keep you happy (and somewhat busy) until the self-isolation measures have been lifted.

If you’ve already been through our list of not-to-miss series and movies on Netflix, then it’s time to switch over to another platform that has just as much variety of drama and comedy. Enter Amazon Prime.

For laughs

Team EW is a huge fan of anything that Phoebe Waller-Bridge touches, it’s no surprise she was chosen to write the upcoming James Bond thriller that will be hitting cinemas soon. Her award-winning series Fleabag just gets funnier each time you watch it. It follows Waller-Bridge’s character as she tries to navigate love and life in London.

Another oldie, but a goodie, is House starring Hugh Laurie as ill-tempered Dr. House who solves complex medical cases and saves patients from life-threatening conditions. The dynamic between characters is simply gripping.

For thrill seekers

The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes – who are as popular as celebrities – abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good.

Meanwhile Jack Ryan sees John Krasinski portray agent Ryan who is tasked with going to South America to investigate a far-reaching conspiracy.

For romantics

In a mood for something heartwarming? Modern Love is inspired by the popular New York Times column of the same name. Each episode stands alone with its own story to tell of complicated, beautiful and messy relationships. Expect to see familiar Hollywood faces such as Dev Patel, Anne Hathaway and Tina Fey.

For sports buffs
