Star-studded red carpet events have largely been on hold for the last year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

One of the most highly coveted film and fashion events, the Cannes Film Festival, is back with a bang for its 74th year – after being put on hold in 2020 – with Bella Hadid taking centre stage on the red carpet for the opening ceremony.

The supermodel wore a stunning black and white vintage Jean Paul Gaultier gown, which was first worn by Naomi Campbell 19 years ago during the designer’s 2002 collection reveal.

Complementing her ensemble, the 24-year-old was dripping in Chopard diamonds, wearing a pair of diamond drop earrings from the Swiss-based Maison.

Hadid wore the stunning ensemble to the premiere of Annette directed by Leox Carax, starring Marion Cotillard and Adam Driver.

Other A-listers also attended the premiere alongside the supermodel, including Jessica Chastain, Jodie Foster and Carla Bruni, all of whom were wearing Chopard diamonds.
