Amina Muaddi has taken the fashion world by storm with her eponymous brand, creating some of the most iconic footwear pieces we’ve seen in recent years.

While she only launched her luxury brand in 2018, the shoe designer has now hit an incredible milestone being named as one of the most powerful women in fashion.

Lauding some of the most influential women, Amina has earned an official spot on Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) and Footwear News (FN)’s ’50 Most Powerful Women’.

In one of her most recent posts, the designer said, “I’m so humbled that me and my team are on this list. WWD and FN’s 50 Most Powerful Women! Where I come from, we rarely think dreaming big is possible. Thank you for the honour.”

Others who made it to the list, included Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, Miuccia Prada, YouTube star Emma Chamberlain, Rihanna and many more.

The shoe designer’s signature heel has made its rounds to a host of red carpet events and fashion weeks around the world. Having garnered a loyal fan base, the Amina Muaddi brand now has a long list of A-list fans including Kendall Jenner, Rihanna, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and more.

Last year, Amina graced the cover for Emirates Woman’s April 2020 issue, where she opened up about overcoming several challenges whilst building her fashion empire.

“Life is not perfect, we have to take what gets thrown at us and bounce back,” she admitted.

However, it’s certainly clear all of the hard work has paid off with the shoe designer securing several successful collaborations over the last year including with Rihanna’s fashion brand FENTY and more recently with ASAP Rock’s creative agency AWGE.

It’s clear the only way is up for the fashion designer!
