Alia Bhatt becomes the first Indian to be tapped as the global ambassador of Gucci.
As the first order of business, Alia will be making an appearance at the Gucci cruise 2024 runway show in Seoul, scheduled on May 16, 2023.
As an actor, if 2022 was Alia Bhatt’s most successful year, 2023 is all about establishing her global star power. From making her debut at the Met Gala on the first Monday of May this year, to now joining the ranks of other international celebrities as the house representative of Gucci — the Gully Boy actor is merely getting started.
Adding another headliner to her decorated resume, Alia is all set to make her Hollywood debut alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dorman in Netflix’s spy thriller Heart of Stone in August this year.

Lately, luxury fashion brands have been expanding their horizon and appointing more South Asian celebrities as house ambassadors. Whether it’s Deepika Padukone for Louis Vuitton or Priyanka Chopra Jonas for Bvlgari, there is a visible shift and a welcoming one.

Besides the army of newly appointed Asian ambassadors, the Student of the Year actor will also be brushing shoulders with Gucci loyalists and long-time ambassadors and house friends like Dakota Johnson, Julia Garner, A$AP Rocky, Elliot Page and Halle Bailey.
