Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir tie the knot
Pakistani actors Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir got married in the UAE over the weekend on March 14 and have shared some gorgeous photos from their special day on social media.
While it was a private affair, the superstar couple gave fans a sneak peek into their special day by sharing some gorgeous photos on social media.
The couple wed on the exclusive Zaya Nurai Island in Abu Dhabi.
Both the bride and groom wore traditional attire. Sajal wore a gorgeous red dress completed with golden bead work, while her new husband wore a cream sherwani with pajama, completed with a pagri.
While the wedding appeared to be a lavish affair with family and friends, drastic actions were taken in the UAE over the weekend in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Shutdowns in Dubai and Abu Dhabi due to coronavirus
Major shutdowns in Dubai were announced on Saturday evening. It was stated via the official Dubai Media Office Twitter account “all events in Dubai should be suspended from Sunday 15 March 2020 [until] the end of the month”.
The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing has also directed all entertainment destinations, hospitality establishments and wedding halls to “suspend” operations from 15 March until the end of the month.
Similar shutdowns have taken place in Abu Dhabi, although wedding venues to not seem to affected at present. All main tourist attractions in the UAE’s capital will be closed for the next two weeks.
Luckily, this did not seem to affect Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir’s day. Congratulations to the newlyweds.
