Whether it’s partaking in a strenuous hike or riding his motorbike through Jordan’s deserts, Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah is no stranger to a little adrenaline rush.
However the royal has just taken his thrill-seeking to new heights, after piloting a helicopter over the Dead Sea for a sky-diving display.
The 22-year-old, who’s been studying at the UK’s prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (yes, the same place from which British Princes William and Harry graduated), joined the Red Bull’s Air Force team on their adventure.

The prince and a co-pilot flew a chopper over the iconic salt lake, before three wingsuit fliers leapt out on a one-of-a-kind jump.
The skydivers descended from a height of 1,865 metres above sea level, according to a video HRH shared with his 1 million Instagram followers.
The noteworthy jump took place at the “Panorama” area of the Dead Sea, the Jordan Times reports, which is the lowest point on earth at 430 metres below sea level.
The fearless royal’s feat was praised by his proud mother, Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, who also shared the video on her own Instagram page.
The jump was organised to help boost tourism in Jordan, by showing off the nation’s awe-inspiring scenery.

This isn’t the first time this week that Prince Hussein, who is the eldest of Queen Rania and King Abdullah II’s four children, has made headlines either.
The royal, who holds the rank of first lieutenant in the Jordanian Armed Forces, delivered an impassioned speech about the issues faced by young people in the Middle East at the opening session of the World Economic Forum.
“Like young people everywhere, the youth of the Middle East are living in this vast sea of change, but our particular waters are characterised by two opposing currents. Both are forceful and potent, but each is pulling us towards drastically different shores,” he said.
“On one side is a treacherous tide, luring our youth toward a dark reality – one that sinks us deeper into violence, intolerance, and regression, through the corrosive power of an extremist ideology.
“The other, transporting us to sunnier shores, where moderation sees our Muslim and Arab identities at peace with modernity and progress, a reality where we can be productive and positive contributors to the world around us.”
