Shiseido
One of the Dubai spa scene’s newest offerings is the Shiseido boutique. The Japanese brand, which specialises in skin brightening and anti-aging, sells a whole host of products and also has an on-site spa, providing five facials and one body treatment – enough to keep us busy on the weekend.
Prices start from Dhs420, Shiseido Beauty Boutique, City Walk, Phase 2 (04) 3427167.
Kérastase
A generic blow-dry is a thing of the past, now hair specialists Kérastase have opened their Parisian doors in Dubai. An hour in the salon chair will include a scalp and hair analysis before the stylist performs a personalised wash and blow. The best bit: The hardworking Kérastase products that actually do what they say on the tin.
Kérastase Institute, City Walk, Phase 2 (04) 3864336.
Nuxe
This French favourite has only gone and found the largest spa in the Middle East to set up residence in. With signature Nuxe treatments, along with their famed cult products (think the sell-out Prodigious Oil, Dhs229) you can expect the same service as you would in the Nuxe Spa in Paris – though unfortunately, without the air miles.
Nuxe at So SPA Sofitel Dubai, The Palm Resort (04) 4556677.
Guerlain
Guerlain Spa has finally reached our shores, with a multitude of luxury treatments to choose from. There’s tailor-made facials, slimming massages and reflexology options, but the one to try is the exclusive Dubai Harmony, a 90-minute full body massage and facial. Note the full Guerlain makeup set-up in the the spa room if you need a post-facial touch up – no red faces here!
Guerlain Spa, One & Only Spa The Palm (04) 440 1040.
Clarins
Bikini season is in full swing, and for us that means more hours at the gym, less doughnuts, scrubbing the winter off our skin and slathering our thighs with Clarins Body Lift Celluite Cream (Dhs200). The coveted Clarins brand has opened up shop in Dubai’s Festival City, so why not pay someone to do the hard work for you? With all the thick sunscreens and fake tans this season, our pores can become clogged, resulting in dreaded ‘bacne’ (back acne). Enter the Back Cleansing treatment – your back will be cleansed and scrubbed within an inch of its life, decongesting and detoxifying as it goes.
Back Cleansing, 60 mins Dhs450 Clarins Spa Dubai Festival City (04) 2393033.
