We all know that searching for swimwear can be one of the most depressing shopping experiences on earth. (It’s hard to ruin an afternoon in one of Dubai’s sprawling malls, but a last-minute hunt for a new bikini might just do it).
However a new campaign is aiming to stop the shame and put the fun back into summer fashion – and you could be the face of the whole thing.
Blue Ink Beachwear, in conjunction with model agency Recto Verso Models, is looking for the country’s next new curvy model to feature in adverts for their Spring/Summer 2016 collection.
“[When] shooting the first collection, finding beautiful models with curves proved very difficult in the UAE,” said Blue Ink Beachwear owner and designer, Anisha Lalani.

The latest body-positive line was created with different sizes and shapes in mind, Lalani said, allowing women more choices to “flaunt their curves with comfort and style”.
The winner of the competition will be mentored by a representative from Recto Verso Curve, the agency’s division for models that are a size UK12 and over.
