One just-opened new restaurant in Abu Dhabi is going straight on that must-visit list, thanks to its stomach-rumblingly good-looking selection of desserts.
Chateau Blanc recently opened its doors in the capital’s Marina Village, just behind Marina Mall, and boasts an Instagram-worthy range of cakes, chocolates and sweet treats.
Think dainty macarons, picture-perfect cupcakes and artfully decorated individual cheesecakes that look almost to pretty to eat (not that that will stop us).
The brand already has a flagship branch on Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Road, with the Abu Dhabi offering bringing an extra level of luxury to the Chateau Blanc family, with its Emirates Palace views and elegant metallic-flecked dining room.
The pâtisserie doesn’t just offer tempting dishes for those who stop by the store, either; Chateau Blanc has also earned quite the reputation for its impressive custom-made range of 3D and wedding cakes.
You couldn’t find the above at your average chain bakery, could you?
Nor is Chateau Blanc just a paradise for sweet toothed, with the chic space also offering a diverse and boundary-pushing menu for refined foodies.
The breakfast options take inspiration from around the world, with dishes including masala omelette and a slow-cooked black bean stew, while the lunch menu ranges from organic quinoa salad to some rather intriguing green tea noodles served with smoked salmon and roasted beetroot.
The Coca-Cola chicken, marinated in the soft drink with chillies, sounds like a must-try, and there are of course plenty of delicate desserts—such as milk cake or a cafe latte mousse—to finish off your meal with a bang.
