Winter is coming, and with it, a barrage of new trends; from brunch-worthy brocade to downtown denim. Are you ready?

But before you get started, we asked the Middle East’s brightest social media stars for their tips on Autumn/Winter’s hottest trends.

“It’s been all about the open shoulder for a few seasons now, but for me, the sweetheart neckline is a more upscale, sophisticated version of that trend. It’s fantastic for layering and for accessorising. For Middle Eastern girls who want to be less revealing, it’s the perfect trend because it can be worn over a simple T-shirt.  If you don’t have a sweetheart piece in your current wardrobe, wear your bomber jacket off the shoulder, with a half-way closed zip – like at Acne or Balenciaga.”

“Sportswear in high fashion, what more can you ask for? Combining style and comfort is key especially for mommies on the go, like me.”

The last time I tried to master the high-shine trend I was a clueless 12-year-old with a glossy blow up handbag and fluffy pen. This season look to Max Mara, Carven and Proenza Schouler for tips on how to work the fabric into your wardrobe for the cooler months. As the temperature in Dubai gauges ‘oven’ at present, I’ve opted for these vinyl booties by Dior.

“I love combining conventional pieces with anything denim; it makes a casual look edgy. I love Miu Miu’s take on denim– it’s both daring and bold. Miuccia Prada fused classic denim lines with Middle Eastern silhouettes to offer a cool take on the long trench. It’s something I can imagine being worn casually by stylish, Emirati women.”

“I really relate to Alessandro Michele’s A/W16 Gucci collection due to my love of vintage. I adore his interpretation of embroidery and brocades with his own twist  making it edgy, cool and feminine. I love the juxtaposition of the pretty floral embroidery against the embroidered trainers I’m wearing, I’ve teamed them with a feminine dress to give a cool edge.”

“I rarely wear print. But I consider leopard to be a neutral, especially when worn as a separate. My favourite leopard staples are always from Dolce & Gabbana. The trick is to keep it simple. I like to pair a leopard shirt with high-waisted jeans for an instant roar.”
