Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan is indisputably one of the world’s most stylish royals.

She was our Ramadan-dressing inspiration, she’s our constant muse when it comes to find the perfect wedding guest outfit, and we try to copy her glossy blow-out on a daily basis (with very, very varied results).

And in a week where Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge’s Dhs90 high-street trousers dominated the media, we were instead captivated by the Jordanian royal’s wardrobe for Amman Design Week.

Queen Rania stepped out in a trio of outfits that proved you can look regal and right-on-trend all at the same time.

Let us present Exhibit A…

The royal plumped for a tiered baby-pink Valentino gown at the opening reception of the inaugural creative convention.

The high-necked number had flashes of Victoriana, especially with all the flowy ruffles, but was kept contemporary with the vaguely geometric print and triple-strap patent stilettos.

Queen Rania, who celebrated her 46th birthday last week, also showed up in a silky shirt dress, styled with mirrored Dior sunnies and buttery leather boots.

With its asymmetric hem and nonchalantly rolled-up sleeves, this is the perfect laid-back but elegant choice for rubbing shoulders with Design Week visitors.

The royal also channelled her inner Carrie Underwood with a pinstriped dress, neatly nipped in at the waist with blazer-style buttoning:

Power dressing at its best (we’re going to emulate this look for our next boardroom meeting or 1:1 with our boss).

The mother of four also demonstrated her ability to mix the modern and the modest at a Design Week meeting prior to the event’s launch, pairing an embroidered navy blouse with breezy white culottes.

This nautical-hued combo is drapey enough to combat the season’s humidity, but without completely swamping the royal.

We’re heading down to Outlet Village now to see if we can copy her champagne style on our lemonade budget…
