Sponsored Content: In need of a unique idea for Valentine’s Day? Look no further.

We’re lucky to have a wealth of dining options on our doorstep here in Dubai.

However, with so many to choose from, it can be tiring wading through venues looking for one with real wow factor—especially when you want to celebrate a special occasion.

So, why not look to the water? That’s right, why eat on land when you can dine while sailing down Dubai’s iconic waterways?

JA Bateaux Dubai, a five-star luxury floating restaurant, is a unique experience that should be on the bucket list of visitors and residents alike.

The elegant glass-windowed vessel is a Dubai institution, having first set sail in 2004, offering everything from refined afternoon teas to tailored private parties.

The air-conditioned boat can be booked for private charters, business lunches, or even one-of-a-kind wedding receptions—however JA Bateaux Dubai’s most famed offering is arguably its evening cruise.

Jetting off from the new Al Seef area on the Bur Dubai side of the Creek, the after-dark affair fuses panoramic views of the historic city with a gourmet menu (and could solve that ‘where to dine on Valentine’s Day’ dilemma).

The 56-metre-long vessel, decked out in sleek interiors, departs at 8.30pm seven days a week for a 150-minute tour, complete with canapés, live music and impeccable service.

On-board chefs serve up a four-course dinner with guests able to choose from an à la carte menu that includes dishes such as parsley and lobster risotto, braised beef short rib, and blackberry panna cotta served with dark chocolate ice cream. (There are also plenty of options for vegetarian diners).

The culinary journey is complemented by a selection of premium beverages, as well as the chance to take in Dubai’s landmarks from the al fresco deck.

Prices start from Dhs415 per person for the soft drinks package, or Dhs520 per person for house beverages. Children over five can also set sail for Dhs265 per person.

If you’re looking for a particularly romantic experience, Bateaux is also offering a special Valentine’s package, with an intimate table for two, freshly prepared six-course menu, bubbly, a red rose and chocolates.

The ambient offer costs Dhs1,300 per couple, or those seeking something even more luxuriant can opt for the premium package (Dhs2,000 per couple), which includes dinner in the Prestige Lounge, a bouquet and Elemis treats.

So, see you on the rooftop deck?
