Crown Prince of Dubai by name, Dr Dolittle by nature…
Look, this isn’t the first time we’ve talked about HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s amazing talent.
No, not his photography, not his sporting prowess, and we don’t mean his work as Chairman of the Executive Council either.
We mean his incredible knack for striking up a friendship with myriad members of the animal kingdom.

‘A friend of a lifetime’: Sheikh Hamdan’s stirring tribute to his late brother
From squirrels to tigers, the Crown Prince of Dubai often charts his bond with his furry friends, and his latest social media posts are no exception. In fact, they might be our favourite yet.
Earlier this week, Faz posted this shot of two gorgeous falcons nose-to-nose (beak to beak?) in front of him. We’re not experts in avian body language, but things look a little tense:
Back in September, Sheikh Hamdan shared a clip of his experience with a camel named Emaar, who strolled over to the royal’s car at the mere call of its name, with his 5.9 million Instagram followers.
The camel even stuck her head fully into the vehicle for a sniff and a little pet, as the sheikh’s falcon looked on.
It’s no surprise the critters were so trusting—the royal (who recently returned to the UAE from an epic summer adventure) has long been famed for his natural affinity with a range of animals.
As well as being a skilled horse-rider, Sheikh Hamdan has been pictured connecting with elephants, tigers, camels, falcons and giraffes, to name just a few.
We’ll leave you with some of our favourite throwback snaps of the royal…
