Sheikh Hamdan Encounters Bears And Snakes During US Trek
The royal’s holiday videos look like something straight out of Into The Wild.
While we’ve been taking short naps by the pool or loading up on carbs at long brunches, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has been having a summer that involves a lot more adrenaline.
The Crown Prince of Dubai has been enjoying an epic adventure over the last month or so, one that has seen him take in Italy, London, Scotland, and now the USA.
The keen adventurer visited Yosemite Park, in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains, according to his latest Instagram snaps – which have served up an ample dose of wanderlust.
The national park, famed for its ancient sequoia trees, rocky cliffs and waterfalls, offers plenty of high-adrenaline walking tracks and climbs.
And Sheikh Hamdan seemed to take full advantage of them.
“The best view comes after a challenging day,” he captured an image of himself standing on a vertigo-inducing ledge.
The royal also captured his day’s thrilling activities in a short clip, which has already been viewed more that 374,000 times in just 24 hours.
In it, the Crown Prince revealed he stumbled upon wild snakes and bears during his exploration of the park (though he wisely stayed a safe distance away from both creatures):
Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied on his trip by HH Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, known affectionately as Uncle Saeed.
The royal also joined the sporty Crown Prince on his recent adventures in Scotland, where the pair indulged in a spot of fishing, hiking and biking.
Sheikh Hamdan’s been adding plenty of stamps to his passport this summer, after also exploring Italy last month.
The royal was in Tuscany for the Al Maktoum Endurance Cup, an event inspired by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, where he posed for a new take on the classic Leaning Tower of Pisa snap.
The Crown Prince also spent some time in London last month, where he rubbed shoulders with heir-to-the-British-throne Prince Charles at Royal Ascot.
Where will the rest of the summer take Fazza? We’ll keep you updated…
