Yes, two prominent members of the British royal family have confirmed they’ll be visiting the UAE this year.

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, will touch down in the Emirates as part of a wider Middle Eastern tour in November.

The next-in-line-to-the-throne and his wife will also visit Oman and Bahrain to “strengthen the United Kingdom’s warm bilateral relations with key partners in the region”, a statement from Clarence House said.

No specific date has been given for the pair’s arrival in the UAE, but this latest trip will be the eighth time Prince Charles has visited this nation.

The heir apparent first toured the UAE in 1989, and his last visit was in February 2015, when he was welcomed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The couple last visited the UAE together in February 2007, where they took in a traditional Arabic tea, toured the historic Dubai Creek, and visited British schools in the capital.

The royals’ itinerary has not yet been revealed, but we’ll keep you updated.

Meanwhile, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that this is just the start of more British monarchy tours to our shores, because we’d love to see Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge make this trip (mostly just to check out her wardrobe and gets some tips for looking regal in the desert heat).

Harry and Wills, you’re also welcome any time.
