The singer is believed to be in secret talks with the multinational luxury goods conglomerate to launch a luxury house under her name, according to WWD. On Tuesday the nine-time Grammy winner caused a stir on social media when she was photographed wearing bold, gold shades with ‘Fenty’ spelled out across the temples. She could be testing a prototype, before announcing it to fans, which she has previously done with products from Fenty Beauty.

The beauty mogul has dabbled in fashion before, as she served as the creative director for activewear brand Puma. During her tenure, she launched the Fenty by Puma line. Furthermore, back in May, she released her first ‘Savage x Fenty’ lingerie line with California-based TechStyle Fashion Group.
According to sources, LVMH picked a team of employees from established brands like Louis Vuitton and Celine, to work with Rihanna and some of her key associates on the project. This could possibly be a major deal, as it would mark the first fashion brand that LVMH Chief Executive Officer, Bernard Arnault, launched from scratch since Christian Lacroix in 1987.
Rihanna’s collection is expected to include ready-to-wear, leather goods, and accessories. This is not the first deal between Rihanna and the luxury goods conglomerate, as her extremely successful makeup brand ‘Fenty Beauty’ is launched with LVMH-controlled Kendo. This venture proved to be succesful, as the products sold more than AED 367 million in a matter of weeks from its release.
