Who needs a runway?

French fashion house, Louis Vuitton, enlisted the help of A list stars for their Pre-Fall 2019 lookbook. The celebrity filled catalogue included Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, award winning actress Michelle Williams, and rising stars like Indya Moore and Urassaya Sperbund.

The brand shot a total of 17 stylish women who “embrace the various personalities that embody fashion at Louis Vuitton,” according to creative director Nicolas Ghesquière.

Chanel travels back in time to Ancient Egypt for latest line

This season we have seen luxury brands put on extravagant shows for their Pre-Fall collections. From Chanel’s Ancient Egypt inspired collection at the MET in New York City, to Valentino’s co-ed runway in Tokyo – we have seen them go all out. However, Louis Vuitton decided to break the mould, and skip the catwalk in favor of a star-studded lookbook.

The collection feels like a breath of fresh air, as it draws its inspiration from Autumn, with its use of colour. Urban culture meets country in the French house’s Pre-Fall line, as the pieces constantly swing between a weekday city feel and outfits perfect for a rural weekend.

The clothes feature plenty of color and patterns, and ranges from ultra-feminine lace and florals to edgier leather and plaids. This clash of moods offer an air of spontaneity, while still holding onto its sophistication.

Nicolas also presented an original version of the brand’s signature logo, The Monogram Giant, which is found on the fashion house’s iconic bags like the ‘Boite Chapeau.’
