Lady Gaga’s Alexander McQueen dress might have appeared surprisingly tame in comparison to her previous outings, but it was a very elegant tribute to Audrey Hepburn, especially as the Oscar winner for Best Song chose a Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace that was once worn by Hepburn herself.

There was also a number of tributes to the late Karl Lagerfeld with Tessa Thompson wearing Chanel Couture off the shoulder dress, styled with Jimmy Choo heels. Charlize Theron looked positively regal in Dior couture with a statement Bvlgari necklace, while best actress Oscar winner for her role in The Favourite Olivia Coleman wore custom Prada.

Elsewhere a number of A-listers chose a bright pink on the red carpet including Sarah Paulson in Brandon Maxwell, Gemma Chan in Valentino Couture, Angela Bassett in custom Reem Acra and Kacey Musgraves in a fluffy tulle Giambattista Valli Couture gown.

On the other end of the spectrum we had shimmering metallic shades as spotted on Jennifer Lopez in Tom Ford, Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton, Brie Larson in Celine by Hedi Slimane, Emilia Clarke in Balmain and Glenn Close in Carolina Herrera by Wes Gordon.
