One Jumeirah beach now has a temporary snow spa… yes, really.
Scorching temperatures might have put a pause on your beach time this summer – however a new pop-up means it’s now possible to chill out by the sea.
Quite literally.
Dubai Ladies Club, home to the the city’s only private beach for women, has opened up a sub-zero dome and spa to offer respite from the 40+ degrees Celsius sun.
Nicknamed DubaiICE Ladies Beach, the idea has welcomed a range of cooling activities to the Jumeirah coastline, including the chance to pamper yourself with real-life snow.

The snow spa offers women the chance to rub themselves down with handfuls of the icy flakes, which can stimulate muscle recovery, soothe aching limbs, kickstart metabolism and boost circulation.
Dubai Ladies Club said the chilling treatments on the spa menu can also “activate the production of happy hormones such as serotonin and endorphins” (and who doesn’t want to improve their mood, right?).
The ice dome gives kids the chance to live out their own personal Frozen scene in the snow, and there’s also an inflatable play area to help them burn off any excess energy.
The concept isn’t just limited to indoors either – there are some activations right on the sand that’ll take the sting out of the summer heat.
These swings sit underneath a waterfall of droplets, and we’re already planning to indulge our inner kid on them this weekend.
You’ll also find food trucks, a resident DJ, an ice bar, and a natural tanning bar, so you can make a real day of it.

If you work for a government organisation (and are free tonight) we also have great news – you can pop down today between 2pm and 7pm and get free entry.
Government workers also get discounted entry during the whole pop-up (for more information see the website).
