Where else to celebrate your 40th birthday?
A weekend in Marrakech sounds pretty great to us right now, and from the looks of things, Leonardo DiCaprio and Orlando Bloom agree.
The actors were in town to mark Bloom’s 40th birthday. They chose to celebrate at the third race of the Formula E season, which took place in the city on Friday.

Fast cars and good friends? We’re thinking DiCaprio and Bloom’s weekend would suit a lot of people down to the ground. And that E in Formula E stands for electric. So these race cars are also environmentally friendly. Even better.
Bloom took a moment to grab a pic with legendary French racing driver Alain Prost, as well.
The actor was even spotted getting behind the wheel, E Online reports. Sam Bird, who’s also English, gave Bloom a few tips, the site says, adding that the actors also spent time quad biking in the Moroccan desert.
And our favourite shot of the ones we’ve seen from the stars’ weekend? This one of Bloom’s dog, silhouetted in a passage at the Amanjena resort.
If being rich and famous means you get to take your pets on holiday with you, we’re listening.
If Bloom and DiCaprio don’t pop into the UAE this time around (we’ve got our eyes out) they might well be back soon. Both have visited before – Bloom in 2015, and DiCaprio last year.
When environmentalist DiCaprio was in Dubai, he even dined at the restaurant of Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe’s steakhouse. You may remember him better as Salt Bae.
Both actors are welcome in this part of the world whenever they feel like it.
