salvatore ferragamo milan travel

Milan I love you! If I had to sum up my trip with Salvatore Ferragamo for the launch of their latest fragrance, Emozione, it would be ‘magical’.  Scent is a powerful thing, it can propel us into the past, revive treasured memories and enhance moods, see my Instagram diary of the trip below and read about my journey to discover the fragrance…

DAY 1

Always pack light, said no one ever. How to get noticed on the street in one of the world’s most stylist cities? Pack colour,  colour and more colour and of course a Fendi monster or two.

Salvatore Ferragamo, Carmel Gill, Milan

Coat: All Things Mochi; Bag: Chrsitian Louboutin; Furry monster: Fendi; Shoes: BCBGMAXAZRIA

Touch down in Milan and I jump straight off my night flight to interview the CEO of Ferragamo perfumes, Luciano Bertinelli, suitcase still in tow! Who needs sleep anyway?

Interview done and dusted,  I arrive to to my suite at the Carlton Hotel Baglioni to a very stylish Ferragamo welcome. These sunnies will come in handy later when I have to hide my very tired 0-hour sleep eyes. Fashion is hard work… but fun!

Feeling like royalty at dinner, the Ferragamo family certainly knows how to set a table. From silver candle sticks to chic porcelain plates, I feel like a Princess as I settle in for a feast in the simply stunning 17th Century Palazzo Del Sanato.

A few hours down time means I can pick up some designer seeds from Marni’s Flower Market before jetting back with Emirates to the desert!

Ciao, Milano, it has been bellissimo!
