The Duchess of Sussex finally swapped her neutrals for a burst of summery yellow.
Meghan Markle might have been the star of the show at the royal wedding, but in our opinion, Amal Clooney took the crown for best-dressed guest.
And it looks like the Duchess of Sussex agrees, as she was seriously channelling the human rights lawyer while attending the Your Commonwealth Youth Challenge Reception with Prince Harry in London over the weekend.
The duchess dazzled in a canary yellow sheath dress from New York-based designer Brandon Maxwell, who has dressed the likes of Lady Gaga and Michelle Obama.

Both the simple style and sunny hue were reminiscent of Clooney’s Stella McCartney dress, which the star paired with a matching custom hat by milliner Stephen Jones, and gold heels. Markle finished her look with a pair of nude Manolo Blahnik heels, and pulled her hair back into a sleek chignon.
It was a striking departure from the palette of neutral tones the new royal has taken to wearing in the six weeks following her wedding day.
Commentators have suggested this has been a careful choice to ensure she didn’t draw focus from more senior royals – like the Queen – during official engagements. However, this weekend’s event for young leaders was the perfect opportunity to make more of a statement.
Whatever the reason, we’re thrilled to see the duchess pushing the boundaries again. We love this look.
