Here’s what we know so far…
Huda Kattan is taking over the world. In the last month alone Dubai’s very own beauty entrepreneur was named one of Forbes’ richest self-made women, and topped the Instagram rich list for the second year in a row. Her next move? Expanding her billion-dollar cosmetics brand to include a fragrance line.
Kattan’s sister and business partner, Mona Kattan, confirmed in an Instagram post that Huda Beauty would soon be releasing its first-ever perfume.
“It’s official guys!! We’re launching our own fragrance!! Years in the making! I’ve been dying to share this with you all,” she wrote, posting a teaser clip for the latest episode of their reality series, Huda Boss.

In a behind the scenes clip, we see Mona visit Grasse, France, considered the perfume capital of the world.
“I love perfume, I’m a perfume addict,” Mona says. “About eight years ago, I decided I’m going to have my own perfume brand one day. I feel like the stars are finally aligning and we’re going to create the best brand ever.”
The businesswoman is shown sampling different notes that will go into the fragrance, including rose and jasmine – and appears to ultimately decide on the rose scent. Which would be very on-brand, considering the massive success of the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette.
While there’s no word yet on when the fragrance will be released, if there’s one thing we have learned from Huda Boss, it’s that you can’t rush perfection. The show’s first episodes revealed that Kattan had scrapped an entire range of concealers at a cost of US$1.5 million (Dhs5.5 million), as the formula wasn’t up to her high standards.
One thing is for sure – this fragrance will be worth the wait.
