This is what we call leading from the front.
The Holy Month is in full swing by now, and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is making the most of it.
On Tuesday night, the Ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE was spotted visiting roadside volunteers handing out iftar meals.
We’re thinking the sight of that white G-Wagon would have brought a smiles to a few faces.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al Nuaimi caught the moment on camera, sharing this instant classic over on Twitter:
وما أروع ما قلته الشيخ محمد بن راشد @HHShkMohd … “إذا كانت نظرتك إيجابية رأيت في التحديات فرصاً وفي المستقبل نجاحاً وفي الناس طاقات ومواهب”. #رمضان_امان_معنا_رمضان_بلا_حوادث #رمضان #الامارات #رمضان_أمان7 #محمد_بن_راشد pic.twitter.com/JPv2w0Y91N

Sheikh Mohammed took a moment to chat with the volunteers, the Green Sheikh’s post says, according to a Gulf News translation: “One of the most wonderful quotes that Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid said… With a positive outlook, you will see challenges as opportunities, the future full of success and people packed with potential, abilities, talent and goodness.”
We’re putting that on a Post-it on our computers. Those are some words to live by.
The moment was also caught on film:
Earlier in the week, the Ruler of Dubai shared a more private Ramadan moment with his 3.1 million Instagram followers.
Taking time out with family, and supporting those who are giving back to the community?
We’d say HH Sheikh Mohammed is setting a pretty great example of how to do Ramadan right.
