It’s the third animal he’s rescued this  year

HH Sheikh Hamdan is known for his support of conservation projects and local wildlife. In September this year he was filmed recusing an oryx, while back in June a video of him rescuing a gazelle went viral on social media.

This week Dubai’s Crown Prince released a video of him helping a smaller creature. On Tuesday evening, he was snapped rescuing an Arabian hedgehog. Also called the ‘desert hedgehog’ the hand sized mammal lives across the Arab world, from north Africa to the Gulf states.

In the videos released on the Royal’s official social channel, he can be seen feeding the hedgehog some water, while the creature sits curled up in his hand.

After he has rehydrated the animal, the Crown Prince can be seen releasing the hedgehog into the wild.
