We’ve already dissected the outfit, and now it’s time for the rest.
Amal Clooney stole headlines at last night’s Met Gala with her tailored cigarette trousers and dramatic bustier by emerging designer Richard Quinn, but her ensemble wasn’t all we were crushing on.

The Beirut-born human rights lawyer teamed the theatrical two-piece with an undone ponytail, glimmering lids and an orange-red lip, for a beauty look that let her outfit shine but still made a statement.
The 40-year-old turned to celebrity favourite Charlotte Tilbury on the night, who has revealed exactly what products she used on the mother of two.
The British makeup artist used her eponymous beauty line on Clooney, prepping her skin with Charlotte’s Magic Cream moisturiser and her Wonderglow primer for a radiant finish.
The barrister’s flawless complexion was achieved with the Light Wonder Foundation in a mix of shades 6 and 7, followed by the Hollywood Flawless Filter in shade 2 along the cheekbones and high points of the face for a Hollywood shine.
Next came the Airbrush Flawless Finish, the Airbrush Flawless Finish and the Pretty Youth Glow Filter for contouring and a pop of colour on the cheeks.
When it came to the eyes, Tilbury used shades from her Bigger Brighter Eyes palette in Exagger-Eyes as well as Eyes to Mesmerise in Marie Antoinette, along with the Legendary Lashes Volume 2 mascara.
Her Brow Lift, Classic Eyeliner Pencil in Audrey and Hollywood Beauty Light Wand rounded out the look, followed by Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Kiss ‘N’ Tell for definition.
The cherry on top? That power lip is a mix of Hollywood Lips matte liquid lipstick in Screen Siren and Walk of Fame,
And the best news? It’ll soon be a lot easier to get your hand on Tilbury’s line, with the makeup artist set to open her first-ever Dubai store later this year. For now, you can shop the range online, with sites such as Cult Beauty offering shipping to the UAE.
Clooney wasn’t our only beauty highlight of the night, with Rihanna’s luminescent skin and pinky lip getting added to our list of looks to copy.
The Umbrella singer wore a range of products from her own line, Fenty Beauty, applied by the brand’s global makeup artist, Priscilla Ono.
The Bajan star sported the Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer, Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in 370, Match Stix Matte Skinstick in Truffle and Invisimatte Blotting Powder, for that effortless base.
The lipstick was Fenty Beauty’s Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick in Spanked (which we’re adding to our virtual shopping baskets as we type).
