The city’s range of moderately priced accommodation is getting two design-led additions in the very near future.

The hotels around the Madinat Jumeirah are iconic, from the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab to the Balinese-imbued Al Naseem.

And luxury hotel group Jumeirah is adding to its portfolio this year, with two new openings in Dubai’s just-unveiled cultural hub.

However the latest additions will be going in a rather exciting new style direction—and with a lower price point.

Located in Al Seef, a two-kilometre stretch of shops, restaurants and pop-ups on the south bank of Dubai Creek, the two hotels will represent a new “upscale-casual” feel for the brand.

Zabeel House is a 200-key hotel that’s billed as offering “comfy rooms with just enough added extras”, and the pictures prove one of those extras is a cool yet relaxed aesthetic.

Jumeirah says guests can expect “a touch” of the hotel group’s famed hospitality, and rates will start from Dhs495 in the summer and Dhs725 in the winter.

Zabeel House will feature three types of room—popular, plush and suite—with organic toiletries, free wi-fi, and a rooftop infinity pool with views across Old Dubai.

It’ll also house four restaurants and bars, though the type of food offered hasn’t yet been revealed.

The hotel, which is set to open this spring, will sit next to a mini version of itself, the aptly named Zabeel House MINI.

The scaled-down offering is made up of 150 rooms with an even lower rate, with rooms starting from Dhs350 in summer and Dhs495 in winter.

It’ll also be decked out with contemporary interiors, including Insta-worthy maps of Dubai on the ceiling of the compact “pocket” rooms.

Mini will also house a courtyard space for pop-up events and outdoor films, as well as two street food-inspired restaurants.

The Zabeel House collection also has hotels planned in Saudi Arabia and London, as well as another Dubai location—set in The Greens—which is expected to open in the last quarter of this year.
