We’d say this would be a career highlight.

At this stage, it’s pretty undisputed that Beyonce is in charge of surprise album releases. From 2013’s Beyonce, to 2016’s Lemonade, and now Everything is Love with husband Jay Z, Queen B somehow manages to produce whole records without anyone suspecting a thing.

This time around, we’ve only got one video to cope with, but it’s so visually rich we almost missed this regional connection.

In the video for Apes**t, shot at the Louvre in Paris, Beyonce wears a stunning floor-length turban by French-Tunisian milliner Donia Allegue.

Paired with a nude bodysuit, Allegue’s creation is fully in keeping with the video’s lush setting — and its star.

Allegue’s work sits alongside designs by Peter Pilotto, Versace, Stephane Rolland, and many more. Keep an eye out for the ’03 Bonnie and Clyde throwback when Beyonce sports Burberry’s signature check.

It’s not the first time Beyonce has worn the designer, either. Last year, the Ego star released images shot at the Grand Canyon where she wears a cream-coloured turban by Allegue.

Close readers of Emirates Woman will know that Beyonce has a fondness for other regional designers, too.

Last year she wore a luxe green velvet robe from Dubai label Bougessa, and while she was pregnant with Rumi and Sir, Bey opted for pieces from local maternity brand Mina Roe on more than one occasion.

Considering the kind of clout Beyonce has — get a piece on her Instagram, and you’re guaranteed worldwide buzz — we’re thinking Allegue is probably pretty delighted right now.

We’ll keep you up to date with Queen B’s ongoing style choices.
