They were one of the original and the best in terms of 1990s boy bands, and now the Backstreet Boys are coming back to Dubai.
The US five-piece last performed in the UAE in 2009. They’re set to headline Blended Festival at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Friday, April 20.

Tickets for the festival start at Dhs350 for general admission and run through to Dhs995 for a VIP experience. They’re available through Platinumlist.
Known for hits like I Want It That Way, Everybody (Backstreet’s Back), Larger Than Life and As Long As You Love Me, the group will perform during a break from their Las Vegas residency at The AXIS Planet Hollywood.

The group, made up of Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell, first formed in Florida in 1993. They enjoyed global superstardom throughout the late 1990s.
Along with *Nsync, they were the one of the defining pop groups of the era, known for their vocal harmonies and R&B influence.

Other acts for Blended are yet to be confirmed.
“We cannot wait to bring one of the biggest boy bands of the 90s back to Dubai this April,” said Girish Bhat, managing director at promoter Done Events.
This is set to be the festival’s first outing since 2015, when UK rock group Kasabian and US singer Robin Thicke performed.
The year before saw Elvis Costello and Diana Krall take the stage, so we’re interested to see who will join Backstreet Boys on the bill.
