Promoters say more will be released on Wednesday morning.

If you were after proof that 1990s nostalgia is a powerful force in Dubai right now, here you go. Final tickets to Backstreet Boys’ previously sold-out performance have all been snapped up within hours of their release.

Promoters say that more will be released at 8am on Wednesday April 4, so if you’re after them, we’d advise having your credit card at the ready then. They won’t last.

The boy band are headlining Blended festival at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Friday, April 20. Spice Girls star Mel C is supporting.

Backstreet Boys last performed in the UAE in 2009, with Mel C’s last appearance taking place at Abu Dhabi’s Beats on the Beach festival in 2012.

The group, made up of Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell, first formed in Florida in 1993. They enjoyed global superstardom throughout the late 1990s.

Known for hits like I Want It That WayEverybody (Backstreet’s Back), Larger Than Life and As Long As You Love Me, the group are set to perform during a break from their Las Vegas residency at The AXIS Planet Hollywood.
