You know those fluffy bathrobes in hotels? The really comfy ones? Well they’re so nice in a certain famous Dubai hotel that they’ve had to up their security to stop people stealing them.
Atlantis The Palm released a tongue-in-cheek video on their Instagram page taking a sly dig at Kim Kardashian, who recently admitted to taking not one, but two of their bathrobes from her room during her stay.
On her website last month, the reality TV star wrote: “One of my fave things about staying in hotels are the big, fluffy white robes they put in the rooms. Anyone who’s travelled with me knows I’m OBSESSED, lol.
“I’ll even admit, sometimes I take the robes from my fave accommodations, like the Atlantis in Dubai (So sorry! I stole two! LOL!) and the Montage in Beverly Hills because they literally have the best ones.”
On the plus side, at least they got a shout-out – Kim’s no doubt visited a lot of hotels, so kudos to the Atlantis for getting in her top must-stay list.

So. how did the Atlantis respond?
The hotel’s spoof video portrays a woman sneaking around the premises, before pinching a bathrobe and getting stopped by security.
In the video’s caption, Atlantis mention how they’ve had to increase security, saying “Thank you @kimkardashian ;)” with a #securetherobe hashtag.

Speaking to XPRESS, Atlantis mentioned how each bathrobe is worth Dhs1,225.
The garment features côte de cheval weaving with green piping on the chest, and is tailor-made for Atlantis The Palm by luxury French brand D. Porthault.
A hotel spokesperson said: “The aqua colour is exclusive to the resort. There are two styles to choose from but the Atlantis one is Kim’s favourite.”
Since the Keeping Up With The Kardashian‘s star may be heading back to our shores next month, the Atlantis might want to keep their robes under lock and key for the time being…
