Another major high street brand is embracing modest fashion…
No piece of clothing combines style and comfort quite like a great pair of denim jeans. But we think we might have just found your next wardrobe staple – enter the denim hijab.
This game-changing piece comes from a rather surprising source – American Eagle Outfitters.
The fashion giant recently showcased the new addition to its clothing line in an ad campaign featuring Somali-American model Halima Aden.
She caught our attention at 2016’s Miss Minnesota USA, where she competed in a burkini & hijab. Meet @Kinglimaa: https://t.co/UIUbKwAZyn pic.twitter.com/n2xjJnm7kn

Gap Features A Hijabi Model In Its Huge New US Campaign
Muslim Women Are ‘Finally’ Being Seen As ‘Beautiful’, Says Model Agency
We’ve been seeing quite a bit of this stunning 19-year-old recently. Last month, she made history by becoming the first hijabi cover star for Allure magazine.
The Muslim model, who was born in a refugee camp in Kenya, rose to fame last year after competing in a beauty pageant wearing a burkini. Since then, she has walked for the likes of Kanye West and Alberta Ferretti, and landed a contract with agency IMG Models.
But the teen seems equally excited for her latest campaign.
“Thank you @americaneagle for encouraging young America to follow their passions, express their individuality, and pursue their unique paths,” Aden wrote on Instagram.
The denim hijab, which is only available online, comes in a dark indigo wash, with instructions to “Wear it your way. Make it as original as you are.”
We think it’s beautiful…
