There’s a lot happening on Palm Jumeirah with the opening of Nakheel Mall and now a brand new Andaz Dubai The Palm hotel. The two 15-story towers rest on a private beach, right trunk of the shoreline, and house 217 bespoke guest rooms and 116 individually imagined designer residences. There are four restaurants and bars to enjoy, a spa located on the 14th floor alongside the adult-only Cabana pool area. Back on ground level, there’s a pool and beach providing the perfect spot to enjoy Dubai’s endless supply of sunshine.

Let’s skate

dubai weekend ice skating

Ice skating outdoors in Dubai? You must think we’re mad, but for the first time ever, JBR will be home to an ice-skating rink. The holding area will be in the form of a giant igloo, while a winter forest will offer the ultimate backdrop for your Insta-snaps. The synthetic ice rink, which is more environmentally friendly than conventional ice rinks, is also completely free for visitors to enjoy. Glide and pivot…

Most important meal of the day

breakfast dubai weekend

If you’re heading to Sole DXB, why not spend the whole day in vibrant D3? We suggest kicking it off with a delicious breakfast on the cozy terrace at The Lighthouse. Sample truffle scrambled eggs and smashed avocado before checking out the eclectic concept store that stocks brands like Men’s Society, Anya Hindmarch candles, Ichendorf, Paola C., M.Cohen and Aesop.

Night of luxury

four seasons hotel dubai weekend

Celebrating a special occasion or simply want to treat yourself to a night at a fabulous hotel? Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach has recently introduced 11 newly renovated Imperial Suites. Designed by famed French interior architect Sybille de Margerie, the new Imperial Suites were created with the surrounding natural landscape in mind, inspired by the sorbet hues of the sunset on the Arabian Gulf, the winds that sway shady palm fronds and the orange desert sands found on the city’s outskirts, offering a modernised luxury suite experience. You won’t want to leave.

Taste of Brazil

the pointe restaurant dubai weekend

Tucano is a vibrant Brazilian churrascaria now open at The Pointe, Palm Jumeirah. Set across two floors, the steakhouse (churrascaria) located on the ground floor and the lounge (caipirinha) on the upper level. Chef Rodrigo Ramos created an eclectic menu showcasing the traditional flavours of Brazil, with a modern twist. Highlights include Coxinhas, crispy chicken croquettes and the much-loved Pão de Queijo – Brazilian cheese bread which melts in the mouth. Moreover, you can enjoy the best quality ingredients such as USDA beef, and tropical fruits including caju, graviola and the well-known açaí berry.
