Classical voice training not included…
If you’re an avid viewer of behind-the-scenes specials (us too) you’re going to love this. Dubai Opera is now offering backstage tours, so you can see exactly how the magic happens. Here’s your chance to learn about the theatre’s inner workings and design.
“Dubai Opera is a new generation of entertainment venue with a fascinating story to tell. Our new tour is a great way for anyone to spend an hour out of the sun learning what makes an opera house tick,” CEO Jasper Hope said.

The next musical coming to Dubai Opera is a biggie…
The opera house has been open for over a year now, and has played host to shows like Mary Poppins, Les Miserables, and the Russian State Ballet’s production of Giselle. Right now, the Opera is home to a series of Mozart performances, including The Marriage of Figaro and Don Giovanni.
Tours start daily at 10.30am and are available in both English and Arabic, with other languages available on request. If you’ve always wanted to sneak a look at the VIP area, now’s your chance – that’s part of the tour. It’s also a chance to check out the architecture of the auditorium without a crowd in it – and honestly, it’s worth a look.
The best bit? Tours are super affordable, at Dhs75 for adults and Dhs40 for kids 3-16. Leaves a bit more spare change for a meal at Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera while you’re there…
