A Dubai makeup artist is taking social media by storm thanks to a hilarious new tutorial.

If you’re after that dewy, radiant, lit-from-within skin most commonly found on the Victoria’s Secret catwalk, there’s one product that will help you achieve it.

Whether in cream, powder or liquid form, highlighters have risen in popularity over the last few years thanks to their ability to make you look like you’ve had 12 hours sleep (even on those long Ramadan nights).

However one Dubai-based beauty blogger has proved that less is more when it comes to faux glow.

Mariya Lyubashevskaya, 18, posted a tongue-in-cheek video to her YouTube channel demonstrated what a face full of the stuff would look like, and the results border on blinding.

The teen used highlight-heavy products as her base, eyeshadow, powder, bronzer, blusher and lipstick in the video, which has garnered more than 1.8 million views in just several weeks.

“Don’t pretend you never wondered what it would look like if you highlighted your whole face,” she wrote on Instagram alongside an image of the finished look. “This is definitely NOT a wearable look but it makes for great photos.”

Her tutorial drew mixed reviews from viewers, with some likening her to the Wizard of Oz‘s Tin Man, but the teen stressed it was never a serious recommendation.

“This video is just for FUN and if you find this video oh so offensive then don’t say anything at all!” she wrote on Instagram.

The self-taught makeup artist, who has more than 80,000 followers on Instagram, isn’t just about the jokes though – she also regularly posts amazing makeovers on YouTube and her social media channels.

So if you’re after Kardashian-worthy contouring or Delevingne-like brows, you might want to bookmark her channel, pronto.
