When it comes to choosing a fragrance, everyone’s signature scent always varies. However, there are always cult favourites in the perfume space which continue to be hugely popular year after year.
But, according to recent research by Hey Discount, outlining the most popular fragrances in the world, a niche fragrance brand (and admittedly one of our favourites) has topped the list.
Per the data, this particular fragrance has had over 110.7 million mentions on TikTok, just under six million Google searches and over 200,0000 Instagram posts, receiving an overall scent score of 9.52.
The scent of the moment is Maison Francis Kurkdijan’s Baccarat Rouge 540, one of the most popular scents by the fragrance house which launched in 2009.
Known for its unique woody meets floral composition, this masterpiece scent continues to charm wearers with its irresistible allure. With strong notes of amber and blood orange, the scent has taken the fragrance world by storm.
Amongst the sea of mainstream fragrance brands including Chanel, Dior, Armani, Calvin Klein and more, only one other niche perfume brand made the cut for the top 10 – Millesime Aventus Eau de Parfum by Creed.
The most popular scents topping the charts include:
- Baccarat Rouge 540 Maison Francis Kurkdijan
- Sauvage Dior
- No. 5 Chanel
- Miss Dior
- Millesime Aventus Eau de Parfum Creed
- Black Opium Yves Saint Laurent
- Shalimar Guerlain
- Acqua di Gio Armani
- Flowerbomb Viktor & Rolf
