The low down: You and your paramour, in matching (and rather fetching) black throwaway undies are scrubbed down using exfoliating desert sand, before being covered in what feels like warm Nutella. Fear not, it’s actually mud rasul – a nourishing boost for your skin that also makes it feel ultra-silky when taken off.
A mud-chamber and shower ensues, before a full body massage using Kerstin Florian moisturisers. The whole experience is 90 minutes of bliss, and just when you think it’s over you’re escorted to the Mashrabiya Lounge for an afternoon tea which (if you’re not already) will send you into a wonderfully comatose state that won’t budge for at least four hours afterwards.
