Since Game of Thrones first arrived on our screens we have been admiring the style of some of it’s leading cast members, most notable Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister, Sansa and Arya Stark.
While Dany’s fur coat from season 7 broke the internet, there were other pivotal style moments crafted by costume designer Michele Clapton that deserve to be on the wall of fame.

Case point Cersei’s coronation dress from season 6 finale when she finally takes the throne as Queen of the Andals and the First Men. The strong structure of the gown and the use of leather give an impression of power, something she’s been waiting for.

Sansa went through one of the most dramatic transformations. From a young girl in pastel dresses, to when she finally returned North and assumed the role of Lady of Winterfell in a fur caped coat and leather corset. Arya too embraced her inner warrior that is reflected in her current outfits, mainly focused around the asymmetrical caped coat that she wears over a quilted leather bodice.

How will the fashion evolve this season? Considering that the great war between the living and the dead is here, we imagine functional yet regal outfits that allow for movement with plenty of leather, embroidery and textured fur – it is winter after all.
