With the summer heading our way without any sign of slowing down, it can only mean one thing – wedding season! Junior Fashion Editor Alexandra Venison leads you down the right aisle in preparation…
Q.) I’m not a big fan of dresses or skirts but I still want to look feminine. Is a trouser suit appropriate for a wedding?
A.) A trouser suit is the perfect option for a wedding, and even, if the weather allows, is a blazer and short combo. There are some super-feminine coordinating suits in great prints to suit everyone’s tastes and budgets and what’s even better is the wear ability after the big day itself.
Q.) I always struggle to find that perfect bag – one that will fit all of my essentials for a day event, but still look feminine and not overpower my outfit. Doe sthis dream bag exist?
A.) A soft bag is your best option, especially if you want to save on weight as well as space. Opt for a shoulder strap to add extra convenience and invest in a metallic, as it will go with lot more outfits. Gucci has a collection of Soho bags in a range of different sizes and colours.
Q.) My friend is getting married in Italy and has quite a conservative family. How do I dress on-trend without insulting anybody?
A.) Luckily conservative dressing is coming back with a bang. Look to the art trend for asymmetric lines and flattering silhouettes to suit everyone’s body shape. Alternatively chiffons and lace are perfect for staying cool in the Mediterranean heat and to add to the romantic vibe.
