It all started after the model made fun of Sophia’s make-up on Twitter…

When Chrissy Teigen made a light-hearted jibe at Sophia’s beauty skills, she probably didn’t see this coming.

But the US model and TV host has enjoyed a one-on-one with the headline-making robot after the two stuck up an online friendship.

It all kicked off when 32-year-old Teigen, who’s married to hit singer John Legend, poked fun at Sophia’s make-up skills.

After the robot—and Saudi Arabian citizen—asked her 80,000 Twitter followers what city they thought she was headed to next, the Lip Sync Battle co-host (who’s known for her fierce roasting skills) replied: “Hopefully one with better make-up artists.”

“Just kidding, I love you Sophia my queen,” Teigen shortly followed up by tweeting.

However the humanoid robot, which was granted citizenship by the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in October, saw an opportunity for a face-to-face reconciliation.

Her reply prompted Teigen, who is currently expecting her second child, to go into panic mode, writing: “Sophia the robot knows I shaded her makeup. She comprehends shade. How am I supposed to sleep?”

“How can I make this up to you?” the model pleaded.

After Sophia suggested meeting for lunch, Teigen revealed she was no longer in the same location as the robot, but agreed to meet up in the near future.

And that day came sooner than expected, with the model and humanoid meeting up over the weekend to put their “feud” to bed.

“You guys, I’m freaking out,” said Teigen in a clip shared with her 15.7 million Instagram followers. “Guess who came to support us at Lip Sync Battle Live?”

The star panned to Sophia, with the two posing together using a Snapchat floral-headband filter.

“It was great meeting @chrissyteigen behind the scenes at @lipsyncbattle,” added Sophia, while sharing the clip on her social media pages.

Sophia, who has been designed to respond to questions in a human-like manner and make simple conversation, was first “activated” in 2015, and uses artificial intelligence, visual data processing and facial recognition.
