This weekend team EW has al fresco yoga, Balearic beats and burgers on the brain. Hey, it’s all about balance, right? We’ve also got a date for your diary in the shape of a new pop-up Fashion Shop Swap launching at Tribeca next week, where we’re planning to trawl for sartorial treasure. Happy Thursday!
Paleo Feasting At Jones The Grocer
This isn’t just any wagyu burger. This is a wagyu burger that our (by all accounts pretty svelte) cavewomen ancestors would approve of. It’s taken from the new, paleo-friendly menu at Jones The Grocer which, in addition to checking all the dietary boxes (lean meat, good fats, no dairy or grains), delivers on the flavour front too. Other limited edition dishes to look out for include carrot soup with coconut milk, ginger and lemongrass and a blueberry mousse cake.
Available until June 14 at Jones The Grocer, Al Manara. Tel: (04) 3466886. jonesthegrocer.com
Pretending We’re In Ibiza At Zero Gravity
Zero Gravity is flying in Pacha Ibiza resident Graham Sahara to help close its outdoor season in style on Friday night, with Aurora presents Hola Ibiza. Sahara will have help on the night from Oliver Lang, resident DJ at Bora Bora on the White Isle, as well as local faves Smokingroove and Chris Wright. Entry is free for boys until 10pm and for girls until midnight, after that it costs Dhs100. We’ll be channelling Kate Moss, the party years.
Zero Gravity, Sky Dive Dubai, Al Sufouh. Tel: (04) 3990009. 0-gravity.ae
Yoga By The Sea
Al fresco yoga is one of our favourite ways to start the day, and this weekend is the last chance to join in the complimentary yoga sessions at The Beach opposite JBR before they wind down for the summer months (sob). Grab your yoga mat, towel and water and get yourself to the south lawn to bid a temporary adieu to outdoor exercise. E-mail email@example.com to reserve a spot.
The Beach opposite JBR, 7am to 8am. Visit thebeach.ae/storedetails/yoga for more information
Getting Some Support From K. Lynn
A good outfit starts with the right underwear, and that means having your bra fitted by an expert. Getting measured is one of those tasks that’s always on our to-do list but never checked off, but on Saturday we are ticking that box thanks to Freya’s Suzanne Pentland (aka the Bra Doctor), who is offering complimentary fitting sessions at the K. Lynn store in Mall of the Emirates from 10am to 7pm. Suzanne will be answering questions on the health benefits of the perfect fit and how to flatter your body shape. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to book your slot.

Pop-Up Fashion Swap Shop At Tribeca
The new bar and restaurant at JA Ocean View will host the first in a series of pop-up night markets from the Fashion Swap Shop on Wednesday June 3. You can browse international brands, independent labels or pre-loved designer pieces, sell your own unwanted items, or trade them in for something new at the Swap Rail. As the Fashion Swap Shop team puts it: “One woman’s old is another woman’s gold.”
Tribeca, JA Ocean View, JBR, 6pm to 10pm. Tel: (05) 03456067. facebook.com/fashionswapshop
Ssssh… Emirates Woman lets you in on a top after-work deal for the week to come. Take that, Sunday blues!
Wine Club At Okku
The sashimi alone is enough to get us excited about an Okku trip, but now we’ve got another reason to visit… three in fact. Girls dining at the always lively Japanese in the H Hotel between 6pm and 10pm on Tuesdays get three free glasses of wine to enjoy along with their Okku signature dish. That’ll round off our hump day nicely, thanks!
