Dubai surely knows how to impress its tourists, especially on Valentine’s Day!

With the highly-anticipated Valentine’s Day around the corner, requests The Dubai airport had sent out an open invite for the ultimate proposal to UAE residents or international travellers departing from Dubai International (DXB) Terminal 3 on February 10.

For a remarkable story, the airport was looking for “the most swoon-worthy tales that deserve to be celebrated in the grandest of ways.”

Dmitry and Anastasiia seized the opportunity and emerged as the fortunate couple chosen to take centre stage above DXB’s iconic steel-and-glass-clad Concourse B. This eventful proposal took place today on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2024, making it one for the books.

A while ago, the duo’s love story began in Dubai on New Year’s Eve, with Anastasiia visiting as a tourist. After meeting Dmitry at a restaurant, the couple fell in love, and Anastasiia intentionally missed her flight back to Russia, choosing to stay with Dmitry.

Michelle Lee, Vice President of Brand and Communications at Dubai Airports, said, “At DXB, we are committed to providing our guests with memorable experiences and this being the first time anyone has ever proposed on an airport’s rooftop, we wanted to showcase it through our award-winning social media channels.”

From the exclusive setting to the surprise proposal, Dubai spared no effort in ensuring Dmitry and Anastasiia’s love story took flight.
