Sports equipment company Under Armour has opened its biggest store in the Middle East in The Dubai Mall, spanning 1,300 sqm.
The store will incorporate various features. It includes a 3D foot scanner that offers customers the ability to see a comprehensive 360-degree scan of their foot using AI technology. Using this technology, staff members can recommend shoes based on the specific requirements of the customer.
The store will also include exclusive apparel from brands such as Project Rock, Iso-Chill Running and Training gear and Under Armour fitness for adults and children.
Another feature is the access to new smart touchscreens that will allow customers to browse and compare sizes, price, fit and more details. The ‘Pick and Learn’ system will aid customers in making their purchase decisions. With the MapMyRun App – exclusive to Under Armour – customers can explore customized workout experiences through touch screens in-store. The app includes form analysis as well as tips to improve running performance.
There will also be a ‘Chill Out Lounge’ equipped with phone charging stations and an interactive 3D map of Dubai.
Lee Devon, vice president for Under Armour Middle East, said, “Opening the new flagship store in The Dubai Mall is a proud moment for Athlocity and the Under Armour brand. This will be our biggest store in the region and is a perfect fit for the world’s biggest mall.”
