Mail yourself something nice

There is nothing more exciting that having a package delivered to your door, even if you know what’s in it. It is even more exciting when the package is something that you need to make your day a little better.

If you are not aware, subscription boxes are quickly becoming a thing. Internationally, the rising trend has given way to niche categories, where you receive literary boxes which contain books and coffee or board-game boxes, which are packed with diverse card games.

Now, in the UAE you can subscribe to subscription boxes that deliver within the country. From makeup to floral arrangements, here are five subscription-boxes founded by UAE-based entrepreneurs that will make your life better.

Stuck in a style rut? This Dubai-based startup is a brain child of ex buyer Heidi Shara who saw a gap in a market for a personal stylist in a box. Super simple to follow, all you have to do is to create your profile where you specify your body shape, colouring, style, mood and budget and let them curate some styles for you. Next you can speak to an actual real-life stylist who will guide you through the pieces that could work for you. Each box curated and sent to you contains three looks and you can order as many boxes as you want. Finally, you get three to five days to try everything on before returning what doesn’t feel right via their own collection service. So easy, and so stylish.

Every month, subscribers are set to receive a selection of flowers, a sachet of flower food, a pair of clippers, an info sheet about the flowers and instructions on flower arranging.
